CHURCH PLANTING

DID YOU KNOW? In New Mexico, the church-to-population ratio peaked during WWI when there was one church for every 430 people. Today? 1:6,278. While New Mexican Baptists have planted 33 churches in 10 years, because many have closed, we have only increased by one. In a state with over 2,000,000 folks at well over 90% lostness––we have work to do. What if WE are called to be part of the change needed to raise up more, send them out, and help them succeed?

Thanks to the generosity of the members of Mayhill Baptist, we are aiming to be active in planting churches in Otero Country, the state of New Mexico, and around the United States. We hope to be a church that sets the pace in making a difference in our own backyard and wherever the Lord leads as we work with the North American Mission Board to Advance the Kingdom!

Good Shepherd Church - Alamogordo, New Mexico
We are partnering with Taylor Memorial Baptist Church in Hobbs, NM to help plant El Buen Pastor to see the presence of God and the truth of the Gospel transform lives in their community. We ask for prayer for Good Shepherd Church as they launch.
